The Differences Between the Tanakh and the Septuagint
The Septuagint is a collection of various translations of the Anakh. These books came into being not just by 70 people who were working together at one time in one place, but over the course of centuries by Jewish scholars living in different cultural settings. So whoever produced the Greek translation or Greek interpretation of Esther wasn't the same person who was working on Nyarmiyahu. And this is actually a fascinating classic case example of quite significant differences between the Masoretic text and what we have now.
