Ton: I found the reading tortuous and just hellish, because i thought we were reading philosophy. After timaeus, it was a pleasant surprise. Post modernism isn't very fascinated with the after life, i guess. It's not one of those dialogues that gets referred to often in the kind of contemporary continental line that i was studying.
