The Mystique of Physics
I think part of the reason why physics has a unique mystique and a lure is precisely because our folk psychology fails us so often when we think about these grand issues. Part of it is that I think part of it has been manufactured by the physics community, just like the truth that the Manhattan Project didn't exist before. And preserving that priesthood is something that I think was a, is kind of attractive at some level. Hey, we know something you can never understand is, is attractive at somelevel. But as physics became so successful, the key questions moved away from human experience and became father and father and father from human experience. Then even physicists have a hard time conceptualizing those questions
