The game started out as group therapy, a way to air any and all of your grievances with others in the community. It morphed into something more intense than it turned into what we would call today more attack therapy or tough love. Unfortunately, some of that was turned against these people later on. But it really, Chuck saw it as the only way to get into some of these very hard and criminals who have even committed murder. And how do you get through somebody like that? That was the purpose of the game.
