The Origins of Vowels in Portuguese
The idea that originally turned into Prasel was that I wanted something which kind of sounded like Portuguese. So I decided to turn all of the nasal consonants, which are really abundant in Yivrian, into just nasalizing the preceding vowels and then do some other vowel elisions. That actually gets you basically what you have in Prasel with nasalization everywhere. And it's particularly important in grammatical forms, like noun morphology has lots of nasal suffixes as part of the morphology.
