For white people who have access to whiteness, get to have special privilege in society that everybody else is excluded from. The whole system is set up for their benefit. So that's where it shifted into an accident of birth. And then within race, it was that white people justified why they were colonizing therr enslaving and they why they get to own a higher status in society.
