When you do therapy with a couple, for example, things don't seem to necessarily move as quickly as they might when you are working directly with a single patient. If I'm working with someone who's depressed and anxious, I have an excellent chance of seeing them have a dramatic or complete elimination of symptoms in a single therapy session. When someone has relationship problems, it takes much longer typically and the tools are quite different. You've got two entirely different new sets of tools you may have to learn in order to develop more loving relationships.
