The Argument for Slowing Down AI Research

This is an argument for slowing down, not for complete eradication of AI research. The virology gain a function researcher by the fact that he doesn't say what he's doing and keeps it under wraps may slow down the overall total research in the field. I was thinking about this earlier and I added up the number of people who work at Google Brain and DeepMind and OpenAI and all these other places. And I got to around a number of roughly 5,000 engineers working on this problem.
