The Four Aspects of CRISPR-Cas

Dignity comes first, autonomy comes second. Dignity can limit and constrain autonomy because it is the basis for autonomy. So there are dignity concerns for human genome editing. As long as it's safe and effective, we should use gene editing to alleviate suffering, to cure disease and to protect health and wellbeing. This is the goal of medicine. And medicine can use CRISPR-Cas in order to deal with somatic gene editing.
