Putin wants us to believe that he's potentially a madman and could escalate in that direction because he wants that kind of leverage. And maybe it's a bluff, but what if it's not a bluff? What you're talking about is not a no-fly zone, that's a misnomer. You're talking about initiating a war against Russia in the air to gain air superiority. NATO could do that. But you would be initiating the war that Putin claims he's fighting.
