The Relationship Between Philosophy and Consciousness

Whitehead called his philosophy a philosophy of the organism. He too was like Riaire saying we need to make the shift to the organism, and he's not as strong on this as Riaire. The embryo already knows how to make a brain, and we are desperately trying to use our brain to create an artificial brain. So why is philosophy not focused on that, and instead focusing on this production of the embryo, which is our brain and consciousness? I think it's a very important move that I think Whitehead makes.
