Is the Update Entity a New Entity Type?

There is a new entity type, the up date entity. That's so that each of my integrations can actually say, he you don't lat rohan, go up date your home assistant. So i think that's actully pretty handy. But for whatever reason, it just hasn't worked for me. If anyone's got any clues on how to get, youknow, a zedwave device or z b device, its got power monitoring, that just doesn't, isn't natively supported in the energy dashboard,. i'd love to hear back thir must be something i'm missing.
