The Church and the Family Are Not in Competition

The church does not come in and replace who we are as human beings. It has to, it's task is to redeem those aspects of our being. The Bible restores us to what is actually normative rather than what is merely normal. And so grace restores nature means grace doesn't elevate nature to something beyond its creatureliness. That was always going to be the point even in Eden.
