The novelization is written by Todd Strasser who wrote Ferris Bieler's day off novelization and like Bill and Ted which I read. "I had no idea about the old lady oh look at that maybe I should check you out still remember I'm from back in like 89 when I read it or something" The book sounds great but it also sounds horrific an ADC prime time drama crazy there's also a she wanna want to be famous version of this movie.
