i really wanted to answer this question about what philosophers call the paradox of tragedy, you know, like, why would we engage with art forms that should make us sad? What i started to realize is that these art forms were part of this, these century s of wisdom traditions and artistic traditions. All contain this message to us, the states of longing that we feel for a more perfect and beautiful world than the one that we have. That is like the fundamental state of the human soul. We may not always be happy, but it is one is our creative wellspring. And its one of our deepest well springs of connection with each othern The power of that, of that connection, is
