Super Luminous Supernovas
Super luminous supernovas tend to be found only in smaller dimmer galaxies. They're also really rare like one in 10,000 supernova which is already like you know five out of a million stars. So they can outshine their galaxy by huge amount and not just because they're extra bright but weirdly for reasons we don't understand it tends to happen in dwarf galaxies.
