The Angels made two trades and they made headlines with a decision. I think what this tells me is that when they were still open to trading him, what they were hearing from teams was, yeah, he's show Hayo, Tony, but he's a rental. And so if you look at the long term for them, whatever they were going to get back for a rental, Otani is not nearly as valuable to them in the long-term. But regardless of how you feel about the angels as an organization, assuming trout gets healthy, trout and show hay in the postseason, like every baseball fan should want that.
