Ep. 119 Why I Don't Eat Jesus with Steven Nemes
The Reluctant Theologian Podcast
The Metaphysical Discourse of the Eucharist
In John chapter six, Jesus says that whoever does not eat his flesh and drink his blood does not have life in him. And then he says on the night of his betrayal at the Last Supper, he takes bread, he glasses it,. He gives thanks for it, he breaks it up into pieces and he distributes it to his disciples. So now the question is, if we're going to develop a biblical doctrine of the Eucharist, how do we make sense of these statements?
