The Complex Issue of Organ Non-Use

ASN is interested in changing policy to eliminate the use of one-year outcomes metrics that programs are evaluated on by the MPSC. We'd like those to go away or at least recede into the background relative to other metrics that are a little bit more long term or patient centered. If patients say you know what I really would like you to accept perhaps a less than perfect kidney on my behalf that would be my choice in my preference versus dialysis.
