The Evolution of the Point Shoe

In 1993, Eliza Gaynor-Mindin created the modern shock-absorbing point shoe. With a lot of help from various dancers, Eliza recruited as test subjects. The shoes were supposed to do for ballet what plastic ski boots did for skiing.
