The Continental and Its Mythology

I like movies with rules that are really out there and make you go, how do you think of that? John Wick has an almost child logic to it because when you're playing tag or keep, you know, capture the flag, you have basic rules that you have to abide by. But then you develop some arcane way to expand those rules. The whole construction of the continental and its whole mythology is so genius. I actually think one of the things that's aged the best in this movie is the gearing up scene where he goes into the sommelier for his drink. That part was just the next thing I had written down.
