Partition - A Big Missing Piece
In South Asian folklore, partition is this grand plan conjured up by Jinnah. In reality, it all seems much more haphazard, more of an accident of fate. Cyril Radcliffe drew the boundary line between Punjab and Bengal having never visited the subcontinent. The result was that huge communities of Muslims were left behind in India; large numbers of Hindus were included in Pakistan.
