Twitter's usefulness in spreading links as diminished over time. I think the long run, the optimistic take here is this is actually sort of a backdoor takedown of Twitter. And you're starting to back into a social network in a certain respect. It may be the case if my thesis about Twitter is correct, which is it's not particularly good for monetization.
