Henry Antram's Story
The antrem family moved to new mexico in 1873. Henry was a small, wiry kid with deep curiosity and a keen intelligence. His mother Catherine left ireland with few possessions but she brought along a passion for the country's emotional ballads and high stepping jigs. The big hit of 18 73 was silver threads among the gold,. A sentimental tune that seemed to be wafting from any building with a piano. It quickly became a staple of henry's repertoire.
