Is Your Speech Rhythmic?
Linguists will tell you that speech has rhythm. The way syllables are patterned in time, the way accents are put on words and phrases are created all have a characteristic pattern to them. Sad speech is quiet. It's slow. It's less pitch variation. Excited speech is faster. It's more variable in timing and dynamics. You can hear it in their voice. We now tend to text, email, or comment on social media largely without our voices.
