The Importance of Moral Responsibility

Nitha argues that for the majority of humanity's existence, we did not really attribute moral responsibility to people. It was more of a correspondent's view, a strict consequentialist view in some sense - although he says it's retroactive. The effect of a person's actions is the cause of whether that person is o or bad. But this retroactive e causality goes back, you are bad your parents gave rise to you, which must mean they're bad in some way. Nitha: "The imperative know thyself was as yet unknown"
