The Colossus of Rhodes, a Wonder of the Ancient World
The Colossus of Rhodes was built in the late 4th century BC. It is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, my personal favourite. But it also feels like one of the shortest lived wonders too, doesn't it? Yes, it's up for either 56 or 66 years, depending which reading you take,. Which is not a long time. Though I kind of wonder whether, I mean it's around for a lot longer after that in a broken form and whether it just continued as a wonder even so. And that's something we're definitely going to delve into. So without further ado, here's Andrew.
