What's the Difference Between Lacan and Freud?
Lacan is a French psycho analyst practicing and preaching primarily in the 1940s through to the 19 I think he died in 1980 something or other but takes a lot of the work that Freud built with psychoanalysis and then marries it to some of the structuralist theory looking at some like linguistic theory. With every experience or utterance that you have there's a double register one is a conscious register and the other is an unconscious register according to Lacan. By listening to people you can pick up both registers that we don't necessarily pick up yeah.
