The Politics of Astrology

There is an iconography of political power that uses the birth chart of a certain ruler or some other combinations of star set. So there's that political element to astrology, which is quite foreign to modern ways of thinking. People are still using astrology to make decisions, of course, but deploying it in this massive way in a kind of ideological way is very big stuff in antiquity and the Middle Ages and into the early modern period.
