McLue: The technique of probing, to me, is part of an activity aiming at some kind of truth that we moderns have lost sight. So when in that paragraph, when the word discovery comes up, that immediately implies h are discovering, if not something true, then at least something real. That's exactly what he was doing. But we have to be careful, because i don't think that mc luan saw truth as some kind of a, like, a discardable idea. He's just that he had an idea of truth, which was that truth was somehow transcend so it couldn't be discursive.
