The Russians' View of Crimea

There is nothing that Ukraine can do to Russia that would trip Russia's official on the books nuclear escalation or nuclear trip wires. Would losing Crimea be so embarrassing to Putin that he would feel like his back is against the wall and he has to lash out with nuclear weapons? I don't think so. There's nobody in Russia who is posing a challenge to his leadership that he can identify right now.
