The Importance of Physical Touch in Grief and Loss
The social worker is the only one who knows the journey that's coming. The family have no idea, they're not thinking all those steps ahead. Liz says she was reminded of her first ever stillborn case in a hospital emergency department. She said it took her straight back to when your first friend became pregnant and you thought how can you do this? It doesn't stop us being human but it does mean we have to process it in a different way.
