Ladurich was the first ever French salond du tic, a pastry shop that doubles as a café. In 1900 it was one of the first public places where Parisian women could meet and socialize while eating delicious pastries. Ladure is also the creator of the first macaron parisian. Round brightly colored pastries made with almonds have become an international sensation.
