Until the global pandemic, COVID-19, it looked like Xi kind of disappeared for a while. And then he reappears and imposes "strictest lockdown" But people are concerned, but they don't necessarily think that he's doing a bad job. He is trying to take charge of so that he can have a legacy which is on par with Mao Zedong.

Chinese President Xi Jinping is a product of Mao Zedong’s revolution. On Sunday, he'll become the most powerful Chinese leader since the Communist Party’s founder — and maybe the most powerful person in the world.
