I think people forget that the 1980s were an incredibly conservative time yeah and there was an almost fetishizing of the 1950s like it was cool to listen to that music yes happy days. I remember enormous pressure especially for like super late bluners like me to like get with the program and like but you also couldn't have sex with random people so it was like this like it had to be like a particular scenario where it was acceptable but then it had to been done well.
