How Do You Get People Motivated?
Pece: I think motivation is something that's learned. And i would also argue that it can be taught. But you certainly can do that when you understand how to manipulate financial statements. For example, hey, your margins down. Why is that? Teach them how to dig into that,. Find out what that switch was that caused the margin to drop and actually improve margin one. They find out that can be done, and then they experience the result and the reward that comes from driving true change. So in that way, when your performance driven, i think that's what really motivation is.
