S-Pep: Quantitative Protein Electrophoresis
S-PEP stands for serum protein electrophoresis. The way that we run this test is we use electricity to help us separate the proteins in the bloodstream. We get a series of peaks that show us how much protein is present at different sizes. And all these peaks that we see on our readout are fairly uniform and fairly smooth looking.
