What Do You Really Need?
The book, first of all, makes fun of people like that. It's supposed to operate as a kind of physic for the soul. The author is being very harsh with the reader and saying, well, atully, what do you actually need? That's an idea i picked up from stanley fish in seventeenth century literature.
