The Evolution of the Brain
The size of the brain pretty clearly doesn't have anything to do with it, I think. Neanderthals had bigger brains than how a Sapiens. It basically explains something about the uniqueness of people that we have evolved to interact with more stuff. Once you have human type thinking, then it's good to have more memory but not essential. You don't have to use your memory for that and language especially.
