The Mystical God of the Torah

The Christian understanding of a God is that he works in mysterious ways, but generally loves us. The Greek or Roman understanding of their God is like, oh, they do these things because they're dicks. This is according to recent conversations I've had with religious friends who are Jewish. Your mileage may vary if you were to the Jewish faith, of course.
