The Importance of David Ratre

The book is a remembrance of the people that were connected to our family that David Ratre writes about. I think it just really had a big impact on me to see our friend Johnny Sherrill be immortalized as some kind of like beaten spirit in the pages of a New York art magazine. It's sort of like Wallace Stevens being an insurance agent or something he was like a very weird dude with an extremely normal day job. The poet Ariana Rines who is a friend of mine also really loves David Ratre for different reasons.
