The Future of the Lord Is Already in Operative in the Present Age
The future that we await at the end is already in only operative in the present age. We are marked out as children of god by our love and commitment to each other. This will be increasing important as the times of testing comes. In verse seven of this chapter, peter argues that we must be self controlled and sober minded for the sake of our prayers. What might we learn from this verse about pPeter's understanding of the role and purpose of prayer in the christian life?
