The Average Inflation Rate in the Last Five Years

Inflation was much higher in reality before and now much lower. Policy decisions are not based on cumulative inflation, it's based on where it is today. We've always boomers with excessive savings and investments that are unwilling to turn the switch and actually spend that money. And anecdotally, we hear this from our advisors all the time.
