Misconceptions and Recognition of Indigenous Peoples in the Sakha Republic

This chapter explores the misconceptions and lack of recognition faced by the indigenous people of the Sakha Republic. It discusses the distorted and harmful imaginations that people have about the geographical space and climate of the region, as well as the erasure of the actual people and their histories. Language barriers, limited accessibility of information, and the difficulties of physically reaching the region are also highlighted.
