The History of Byzantian

Byzantian was a city on the opposite peninsula from calcedon. It would become an important part of the roman empire after its capture in 5th century BC. The latin name for the city is byzantium, which is more commonly known than the greek equivalent. Byzantia became home to Christian councils that helped standardize christian worship.
