The New Oil Is Data

The new oil is going to be data. Take an extreme example. If Quora didn't allow themselves to be crawled, right? Which they don't know. But then they developed their own language model which used the best of the internet. Maybe they are slightly better in certain domains than others. The other extreme example is the one that I used in healthcare: if you have access to patient data that you will not license to anybody else, it stands to reason that that model has much better chances of highly effective clinical outcomes. Apple Watch comes to mind, right? Apple has all that watch data. They could pair that with epics. That's what they do together.
