The Ego and the Authentic Self

The ego, in my view, is a carapas. It's a a membrane that we create around ourselves and it has too from the time we're children. The authentic self is the voice that chastises an the ego when the ego is playing up and performing his antics. We don't need ego for parading in the supermarket, but we don't need it in this moment of panic fear. In the spiritual they are not required. Our fears and desires not required.
