The west promised russian not to expand nato eastwards, but it also promised ukrane that in or in exchange for u krane giving up the one thing that would have protected yu krane, its nuclear weapons. That doesn't make any sense to me. If you're concerned about nato missile silos in eastern europe, while you've just moved your border closer to them, how does that make russa mean? I suppose their rational will be there, instead of demilitrizing and d weaponizing that zone, so they can have enough they can police their own neutral zone, or something like that. But i don't think we want western troops
