BIP 118 is only defined under taproot. So it uses the unknown public key extension hook, which means if there's a public key, when you do a check SIG operation in tap script,. The last 32 bytes are considered a normal public key and can be used for checksick. It won't be activated for key spend when you're doing a top level spend. And so then summarizing some of the things as I understand that an L2 context, or just moving to L2, EL2, would make backups a lot easier. Also enable this concept of multi-party channels, right, or in future.
