How to Check Learning Objectives in a Plenary

A plenary is an opportunity during the lesson for you to check whether students have taken away the key learning objective. There's no point at the end of the lesson having a plenary that doesn't check those. If it was an exam question or anything like that, I think the key thing is to actually make sure the kids know what success is. Discussions are much more difficult than they sound. It's very good for picking up things like basic misconceptions. Things like guessing the learning objectives. Sometimes if I really used out good quality learning objectives, then part of the lesson might sort of say, okay, right, there's going to be two learning objectives today and we've covered this
